Deployment of 400 Security Guards Across Major Sites in Qatar

Project Overview

During 2005–2006, Applied Gorkha Solutions successfully recruited and supplied approximately 400 Nepalese security guards to Group Security System Certis International for deployment across major sites in Qatar.

The personnel were deployed to a range of locations, including Doha Airport, hotels and other sites, requiring AGS to manage a substantial recruitment programme while responding to the differing manpower requirements of multiple operational environments.

The Challenge

The project presented a significant manpower mobilisation requirement:

• Approximately 400 security guards had to be recruited from Nepal.
• Personnel were required across multiple locations, including Doha Airport, hotels and other sites.
• Candidates needed to be suitable for professional security assignments in different operational environments.
• Recruitment and mobilisation were conducted over an extended 2–8 month project period.
• Candidate sourcing, screening, documentation, medical processing and deployment had to be coordinated efficiently between Nepal and Qatar.

AGS's Approach

1. Large-Scale Recruitment

AGS mobilised its recruitment network in Nepal to identify a substantial pool of suitable security personnel.

2. Candidate Screening

Candidates were assessed for their suitability for security work, including their experience, physical fitness, discipline, professional conduct and documentation.

3. Multi-Site Workforce Planning

The recruitment programme was structured around the client's requirements for different deployment environments, including airport, hospitality and other sites.

4. Documentation & Processing

AGS coordinated the necessary documentation, medical examinations and overseas employment formalities for selected candidates.

5. Coordinated Mobilisation

Recruitment and deployment were managed progressively over the 2–8 month period, allowing personnel to be mobilised according to the client's requirements.

Result

Applied Gorkha Solutions successfully supplied approximately 400 Nepalese security guards to Group Security System Certis International for deployment across Doha Airport, hotels and other sites in Qatar.
